PUNTA BANDA MINI MARKET
All over the Baja the rule is true. The Blue and White stores sell Pacifico and Corona. The Red and White
stores sell Tecate and Dos Equis. The Beer Companies obviously pay for the paint and the signs. These stores
always carry more than just beer. The Mini Market in Punta Banda carries everything you would expect from a
7-11 in the states without the slurpies.

The store is under new management and they are definitely improving it. They are young and innovative which is
rare in stores in the general area. They carry ice which is hard to find in Punta Banda. In addition, they are
obviously making an effort to cater to Americans.

Mexican Beer is an import in the states so it costs at least $1.00 per beer or more depending on the brand. In
other words, Pacifico, Corona, Dos Equis, Tecate, etc all cost a lot more in the states. You will find that your
favorite Mexican Beer is about 40% off what you are used to paying for it. Another thing to remember is that you
need to save the bottles of Corona and Pacifico. You will be charged for them if you do not bring them in. So
you bring in twenty four empty bottles when you buy twenty four full ones.

Remember, always pay in pesos if listed in the menu. The rate has changed so much lately that you never
know what exchange rate you will be given for dollars. Better to avoid the concern and maximize your money.
